Firstly what's a Processor and a bits?
PROCESSOR
A processor is the logical circuit which recieves and process informations.
Its like the brain of the computer telling it what to do and what it should not do. And these processors work with bits
BITS
The number of bits refers to the amount of data a processor handles and how fast it can process informations so the larger the bit the larger amount of data the processor handles and faster the time it takes to handle it. For example a 64bit OS is able to access four billion times as much physical memory than a 32bit OS
THE DIFFERENCE
On a 32bit you are allowed a maximum of 4GB of RAM while on a 64bit the maximum is 16 exabyte
i.e 16.3 million terabyte and that is a lot of memory
On a 32bit when the RAM is up to capacity, it starts using your hardrive memory but on a 64bit you can install as much RAM as you want.
32bits are also known as x84 and 64bits as x64.
