“We want to make it even easier for people to find creators and influencers on Twitter so it makes sense for us to let people apply for verification,” Twitter in a statement release.
Twitter’s verified accounts which were reserved for brands, media, and other public figures is now made open to everyone. To get verified, here is what you need:
-A verified phone number
-An email address
-A Twitter biography
-A profile picture
-A birthday
-Website
And finally,
-Your Tweets set to public.
Twitter may also ask for a scan of your government-issued ID for verification.
-You’ll also have to provide more information to Twitter such as why your account should be verified.
